9-Track Tape

1/2" 9-track open reel tape

 

Mostly found on mainframe, midrange, VAX/VMS, and sometimes Unix. They come in 800, 1600, 3200, 6250 bpi densities. A 12" extra length tape, 6250 bpi density can hold up to 180MB. ICS can handle all types of 9-track tapes.

 

 

3480, 3490E, 3590B Cartridges

3480/3490E/3490 cartridges

 

Used mostly on mainframe and midrange computers. Capacities range from 200MB for 3480, to 20GB for 3590B. We can handle 3480, 3480 compressed, 3490, 3490E

 

 

8mm DAT Cartridges

8mm DAT cartridges
112m, 160m.

 

8mm DAT tape can hold from 2.3GB to 80GB of information. The capacity depends on the media length and a type of the drive used. We support all 8mm formats including Exabyte Mammoth.

 

 

4mm DAT Cartridges

4mm DAT cartridges
60m, 90m, 120m, 125m, 150m.

 

4mm DAT tape can store from 1.3GB to 40GB worth of data. The capacity depends on a tape length and generation of a drive used. ICS supports DDS1, DDS2, DDS3 and DDS 4 formats.

 

 

DLT Cartridges

DLT cartridges, PDP-11/VAX TK tape cartridges
TK-25, TK-50, TK-70, TK-85, TK-88.
DLT II (2.6GB), DLT III(10/20GB), DLT IV(20/40, 35/70, 40/80GB), SuperDLT(110/220GB).

 

Medium to high capacity media used on all operating systems. Maximum capacity of the DLT IV cartridge is 80GB compressed when used with Quantum DLT 8000 drive. SuperDLT media can hold up to 220 GB compressed. All DLT formats are supported by ICS. 

 

 

1/4" QIC Cartridges

1/4" QIC cartridges
DC300XL, DC600/DC9000 type cartridges.

 

Used by all computer systems. QIC standard tapes range in capacity from 45MB to 100GB. ICS supports most of the formats, including proprietary. 

 

 

Travan Cartridges 

Travan cartridges
TR-1, TR-3, TR-4, TR-20.

 

Descendant of mini-cartridge format can hold from 400MB to 20BG worth of data. ICS can handle most Travan formats. 

 

 

Iomega Cartridges

Jazz Cartridges: 1GB, 2GB
Zip Cartridges: 100MB, 250MB

 

 

Iomega cartridges are used on many PC platforms today. Commonly known as “Zip disks” or “Jazz disks”, these cartridges are actually considered a removable hard drive.  ICS handles both Jazz and Zip formats.
